Weston Marine Lake

Weston’s wild heart on the seafront

Safer swimming — all day, year-round water access for all.

We love sea swimming, but sometimes the tides aren’t right, or the weather is too wild. The Marine Lake gives all day, year-round water access for all — swim here and you don’t have to wait for high tide.

It’s the perfect place to train, or to bring the family, with a rich history and plenty to learn about.

A safer sea for everyone

Weston Marine Lake is an enclosed tidal lake right on the seafront. The wall holds the water back as the tide drops, so there’s calmer, deeper water here all day — every day of the year.

Built in the 1930s and looked after today by the community Mudlarks group, the lake is free to enter and open to everyone. Stunning sunsets included at no extra charge.
